Good Day All,

On behalf of the GPU committee we would like to invite all GPU members and fanciers from our neighbouring organisations to join us for the GPU’s annual Pigeon Day.

Ø  Begin 08:30 vir 09:00

Ø  Ons wil so 09:00 begin met Vyver Krog se praatjie oor “Dope Testing” asook statistiek oor moontlike toets uitslae.

Ø  Dan gaan ons luister na Dr Piet Van Zyl.  Hy gaan praat oor duiwe siektes in 2018, asook watter medikasies gewerk het, asook vir ons vertel hoe om jou duiwe gesond te hou in die afseisoen.

Ø  Daarna het ek vir Hannes Grove gekry om te praat oor, waaroor jy moet beskik, en wat jy behoort te doen om ‘n kampioen te wees.

Ø  Ons wil die GPU – “Royal Challenge” Ringe (Expensive Rings) veiling begin so +/- 12:30 (20 Stelle)

Ø  Ons gaan die manne vermaak met ‘n paar stalletjies onder andere:  Break A Way produkte, Medpet en Turf Pets.

Ø  Daar gaan genoeg te eet en te drink aangebied word.

Ø  Ons gaan ook ‘n paar pryse weg gee met “Lucky Draws”

Ø  Dit beloof ‘n genoeglike en ‘n wonderlike dag te wees.

GPU members are hereby informed of an important SMS that you will be receiving regarding combined liberation of the GPU pigeons. This will impact the 2020 racing season.

Cutoff for replies :  20 September 2018.

You will have to reply to this SMS with your answer (vote). A binding decision will be made based on the result of the vote.

The SMS will contain the following text:

GPU: Loslating van unie duiwe saam met ander organisasies moet eers gedoen word as die wedvlug afstand verder as 500km is. Reply JA (ek stem saam) of NEE (ek is tevrede soos dit tans is)?

The liberation of GPU race pigeons with other organisations should only be done from over a distance of 500km YES (AGREE) NO (DISAGREE)

You should reply YES or JA to the SMS if you agree that the union pigeons should only be liberated with other organisations when the race distance is more than 500km. Thus for races less than 500km the union will liberate their pigeons on their own.

You should reply NO or NEE to the SMS if you want the liberation of union pigeons to stay the same as currently – ie. we liberate with other organisations whenever we can / choose to.

For more clarity please discuss with your club chairman.
